Events - Mittelbau-Dora concentration camp

In the brand-new building of the Mittelbau-Dora memorial site at Nordhausen, a new exhibition was created to illustrate the history of the factory.
In the subterranean armament factory, where the "V2 rockets" were produced, 20.000 forced labourers died.

On Sunday, September 10th the new exposition was officially opened.

The numerous guests that came from all over Europe were welcomed by Prof. Dr. Volkhard Knigge, Director of the Foundation Memorial Sites Buchenwald and Mittelbau-Dora. In his opening speech, he thanked the German Union, Thuringia and the city of Nordhausen for their support.
