The "REIMAHG - forgotten camps, secret history" Exhibition
| During the preparations for this year`s commemorations in May, the town of Kahla offered our association the opportunity to mount an exhibition after the event in the newly opened city museum, thus enabling the "REIMAHG" history to be shown.

| The exhibition that opened on May 19th, in presence of the mayor of Kahla Bernd Leube and Georg Graven, mayor of Langenorla, as well as Mr. Kupka gives visitors the opportunity to take a closer look at the historical facts relevant during that period, which in the past were not always correctly explained or even stated. |

The area available for the exhibition is limited and allows only an overview of the period, but the original artefacts relating to themes such as deportation, workers, camps, the factory and its production, involves the visitor with this history. History not only local or regional, but - with 28 camps attached to the factory, and workers from nine countries involved - a real European history.
A scale model of the mountain, almost six metres in length, donated by the town of Langenorla and the Eisenbahnfreunden Langenorla e.V. association, shows the dimensions of the factory as of April 1945. Attached to the model are various historical pictures depicting the exterior buildings in their original state.
A representative selection from the association`s large collection of artefacts provided the basis for the exhibition showcases. The association enjoys the constant support of numerous owners of period artefacts which allow the expansion of the collection; we thank them wholeheartedly for their support. Those who would like to support our association, can contact us.

We would to thank Ms. Doris Kusche, curator of the museum, for her support.
The city museum can be found in the Margerethenstrasse 7/8, on the right hand side, just before the main square in Kahla. It is open every day from 10am until 5pm.
