In memory of Angiolo, May 2022

In March we received a mail from Maria Rossi/Italy. She got our contact details from a mutual friend, Cleonice. It was a special request that Maria asked us to place a memorial stone in the Kahla cemetery, at the mass grave of the REIMAHG dead.

Angiolo Brezzi died in Camp 7 in February 1945. The memory of him has been kept alive in the family to this day. That is why they wanted to have a memorial stone placed at the place where he was buried so that they could commemorate him at any time. In close cooperation with the family and the Schweiger stone masonry in Orlamünde, we made it possible to have this stone set before the commemoration in May. The ceremonial inauguration with a word of greeting and thanks from Italy and the blessing of the stone became an emotional moment for the family.
