Participation in the XXIII District Home Day, Saturday, 8 August 2026

It wasn't the first time our club took part in the Saale-Holzland district heritage day. 

This year, as part of Kahla's 1150th anniversary celebrations, it was fittingly held in Kahla Town Hall. After the welcome by Mayor Jan Schönfeld and brief speeches from District Administrator Mr Waschnewski and the district heritage curator Mr Haase, the district heritage awards were presented. 

The following three presentations covered informative historical topics about the town and its surroundings. 

After a lunch, we visited the impressive town museum. In many conversations with interested visitors, we explained the town's history across the building's four floors.

We received a lot of questions, especially about the rather unknown REIMAHG history, new contacts were made and particularly the expressed appreciation of our work as an association, as well as throughout the entire exhibition area, was repeatedly praised. A real motivation to carry out all further exhibition projects.
