In the Messerschmitt Archive/Munich, 3 – 4 May 2021

After several attempts, due to the Corona pandemic, we were finally able to pursue our meeting at the Messerschmitt Archive in Munich. The very kind and competent archivists hat prepared all the archives we ordered onto two working areas. It took us two days to go through the documents and the result was a great deal of documents, photos and information regarding the Me-262.

We also took advantage of the trip to finally meet up with Ester, a longlasting Italian friend. In open air and enough distance, enjoying a fresh cup of Italian expresso, we talked about many things and were very impressed about the amazing life of a brave women. After two hours we had to say goodbye. Ester offered us to translate the diary of her brother, who was a forced labourer at the “REIMAHG”. We gratefully accepted her offer.
