In Kahla, almost every vacant room and building was requisitioned by the “REIMAHG” Quartieramt (responsible for housing). These accommodations were needed for German skilled workers and administrative staff. Many of the “REIMAHG” workerslived in private quarters. There were also some buildings that were used directly by the “REIMAHG”:
